Peterson Slough is not the only spot close by, North Pool is a close by lake; Saint Croix National Scenic River is a glorious place close by. Peterson Slough is great enough to spend more than a day at, Blue waters Leisure Park is a great local campground, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Wild Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much       to do here at Peterson Slough that you need to camp here for a while, Hillcrest RV Park is a pleasant place for that, and if you need a place to stay Budget Host Inn-Stes N. Branch is a pleasant choice. So much fun stuff to do at Peterson Slough, so little time. North Branch Golf Course is a wonderful golf course nearby; paddling on Snake River is so much fun. This lake is so wonderful. An average amount of rain falls at Peterson Slough; the wettest month                  of the year is usually June, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is February. Whitewater paddling is brilliant on St. Croix River, and going for a hike along the Sunrise Ferry Hiking Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. During the long summer days here at Peterson Slough, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 80's; the overnight is fairly cooler of course, mostly in the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 10's, and nighttime lows through the winter for Peterson Slough tend to be in the-10's.
