Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. Not far from Perch Lake, you'll stumble on Sturgeon Lake which is a pretty lake, and hiking along the Link Lake Trail is nice fun. Lakes are great; Elbow Lake is a lake that's close to Perch Lake; if you need a site to stay Hibbing Park Hotel is a good choice. So much fun stuff in the Mesabi Range, just mind-blowing. A great spot for whitewater       paddling near Perch Lake is Sturgeon River; there's some interesting stuff to distinguish at Sturgeon Lake Dam right next door to Perch Lake. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Perch Lake that you need to camp here for a while, C C Campground 717 is a splendid spot for that; why not take a refreshing hike along the Snake Trail. Perch Lake is a beautiful lake in the Mesabi Range. And that's not all you can do here in the Mesabi Range.                  Stay the night at Pine Beach Resort RV Park, and a splendid close by hotel is Hibbing Super 8 Motel. Little Fork River is a fine whitewater spot in the neighborhood of Perch Lake, and do take a hike on the Stingy Lake Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Perch Lake is a good location of common precipitation; most of the rain falls through June while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. At Perch Lake during the warm months highs are in the 70's; the nighttime is quite cooler of course, mostly in the 50's.
