Camping is available at Jko Campground, and the Wasson Lake Trail is a tremendous hiking trail nearby. Camping at Thistledew Campground is always a nice experience, and a lake close by is Rat Lake. All through the months of summer at Owen Lake highs are frequently in the 70's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the period of the winter this place       gets highs in the 10's, and overnight lows at Owen Lake during the wintertime frequently fall into the-20's. If you need a spot to stay Country Inn By Carlson Grand Rapids is a great choice, and on a wonderful day you can take a hike along the Wilson Lake Trail. From a precipitation point of view Owen Lake is a rather typical place; July is the wettest month with most rain; the driest of the months is February.
