Not far from Otter Lake, you'll come across May Lake which is a beautiful lake; why not camp at Jko Campground while you're here at Otter Lake. Otter Lake gets a typical amount of yearly precipitation; through July this area sees the most rain while February is commonly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Wasson Lake Trail; paddling on Big Fork is so much fun. Have a nice hiking adventure along the Valley River Trail, and camping

| | is available at Thistledew Campground. So many entertaining things to do at Otter Lake, so little time. Country Inn By Carlson Grand Rapids is a wonderful location to get some rest. All through the summer months at Otter Lake highs are mostly in the 70's, and the overnight is rather cooler of course, mostly in the 50's. There is plenty to do at the resort too. Swan Lake is known for its water clarity throughout the summer. Fishing is almost always good with a healthy supply of sunfish, crappies, northern and walleyes. Largemouth bass are definitely the most sought after fish the past few years with most of them released again after they are weighed and their picture is taken for our ''fishing report'' board.
