This lake is so wonderful. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Buck Hill, and if you came for an overnight stay Town and Country Campground is a delightful place to camp. This lake is so wonderful. If time allows, Mississippi National River & Recreation Area is a national park worth stopping at. All through the days of summer at Orchard Lake temperatures are frequently in the 80's. For the       period of the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's, and night lows in the 0's for Orchard Lake. Orchard Lake is a good spot of normal rainfall; June is the month that gets the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. If you want a great time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Orchard Lake. Buck Hill is uncomplicated to spot from Orchard Lake; you're sure to bump into some                  nice people from Minneapolis-St. Paul-Bloomington here.
