You'll need more than a day to look at everything Lake Olson has to offer, you can camp at St Paul East KOA. That right there is lots already, but it continues; Lake Olson has it all. Drift down the rapids of Apple River in a kayak, and Lake Olson is not the only place close by, Lake De Montreville is a close by lake. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here       at Lake Olson that you need to camp here for a while, St. Paul East RV Park is a nice place for that, and skiing at Afton Alps is one of those things you just have to do. This lake is so wonderful. Get dripping wet paddling on Vermilion River, and golf can be played at Indian Hills Golf Club. Mississippi National River & Recreation Area is one of the destinations in the vicinity of Lake Olson that are great to go to; if you need a site to stay ST PAUL OAKDALE                  HILTON GARDEN INN is a good choice. After a long day outdoors Best Western Regency Plaza Hotel is a good place to spend a night or two, of course you could also pop by Long Lake since you're here; it's not far at all. Through the summer months highs here at Lake Olson get into the 80's. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 10's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Lake Olson temperatures fall to the-10's.
