If you need a place to stay Gateway Lodge and Suites is a great choice; do take a hike on the Beatty Portage. You think that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. A great spot to camp here at Olive Lake is Thunderhook Camps, and hiking along the Canfield Portage is perfect fun. During the summertime at Olive Lake highs are regularly in the       70's while night lows are frequently in the 40's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 10's, and nighttime lows in the-20's for Olive Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Beddow's Campground; Vermilion River is a great whitewater spot close by. Olive Lake is a good spot of normal rainfall; June is when you get the most rain here while February is generally the driest month.
