Nigh Lake is around here, and going for a hike on the Canfield Portage is always a perfect adventure. A common amount of precipitation falls here at Nugget Lake; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. Whitewater paddling is pleasant on Vermilion River, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Beatty Portage. Now, you may believe that's plenty but       there's even more fun stuff to do here at Nugget Lake. Paddling on Vermilion River is so much fun, naturally you could also go to Pauline Lake while you're here; it's not far at all. Nugget Lake is a good location to visit for more than one day, Lake Jeanette Campground is a good location to camp nearby, and after a long day outdoors Elbow Lake Lodge is a great place to spend a night or two. During the long summer days at Nugget Lake highs are ordinarily                  in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 10's, and nighttime lows in the-20's for Nugget Lake. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Nugget Lake has to offer, you can camp at Sand Beach Campground. This lake is so wonderful. There is a pleasant hiking trail near Nugget Lake called the Echo Trail; if you're looking for some flowing water?
