If you came for an overnight stay Lake Jeanette Campground is a delightful spot to camp, and do take a hike on the Echo Trail. From a rain point of view Nugget Lake is a rather typical location; June is the wettest month with most rain while February is frequently the driest month. Sand Beach Campground is a perfect campground nearby; some of the water nearby flows, like Gaunt Creek. Why       not take a refreshing hike along the Beatty Portage; Vermilion River has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby. Hiking along the Canfield Portage is wonderful fun, and if you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Vermilion River. During the warm days of summer highs here at Nugget Lake get into the 70's, and the overnight is a tad colder of course, typically in the 40's. Throughout the winter highs are frequently in the 10's, and                  night lows in the-20's for Nugget Lake. You just ought to like Nugget Lake.
