Don't leave Nelson Lake without first going for a hike along the Webster Lake Trail System, and if you came to camp Moens Birch Haven Campground is a brilliant place to do that. Good hiking is available along the Meadow Lake Trail System, and what would winter be without some skiing at Buena Vista. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Americinn - Blackduck, Mn is a wonderful choice, and Nelson Lake       is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Gull Lake Campground and Mobile is a tremendous local campground. Nelson Lake gets very little rainfall; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. Through the months of summer at Nelson Lake temperatures are mostly in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 10's, and winter                  nights come with lows in the-10's to Nelson Lake.
