The amount of precipitation that falls at Mud Lake is close to the national average; June is the wettest month with most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Crooked Lake Trail, and if you came to camp Gateway North Outfitters is a great place to do that. Playing golf is lots of fun at Ely Golf Club. There's       so much to do here at Mud Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Canoe Country Outfitters is a wonderful place for that. Pioneer Tailings Dike has tremendous water scenery and it's right next door to Mud Lake; taking a little trip to close by Schaefer Bay is a great idea. Summertime highs at Mud Lake generally tend to be in the 70's while overnight lows are regularly in the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 10's, and nighttime lows in the-20's for                  Mud Lake. All the outdoors exciting things in close proximity to Mud Lake will keep you coming back many times.
