If you get bored of Mud Lake, you could also visit nearby Saint Marys Lake, and if you're stopping by from Duluth, you won't be the only one. This lake is so wonderful. Enjoy a round of golf at Eveleth Municipal Golf Course not far from Mud Lake; there's good hiking along the Taconite Trail. During the days of summer at       Mud Lake temperatures are generally in the 70's with overnight lows in the 50's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 10's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Mud Lake. This is no location for people who don’t like to have fun. Mud Lake is a good place to visit for more than one day, Midway Motel is a good place to camp nearby; St. Louis River is a delightful whitewater spot close by. Horseshoe Lake is a nearby lake                  that you could take a look at; if you need a place to stay Super 8 Eveleth is a good choice. Mud Lake is pretty dry ordinarily; the month with most of the rain is June; February meanwhile is the driest month.
