A brilliant spot for whitewater paddling near Mud Lake is St. Louis River; nearby you stumble on Little Pokegama Bay. You're probably keen on lakes, Spirit Lake is one of those close by, and the snow is great at Spirit Mountain. Looking for some flowing water? Try Red River; you'll in all probability meet some people from Duluth here. This lake is so wonderful. Camping       at Mud Lake is delightful fun, Skyline Terrace is a delightful local campground, and if you need a site to stay Mountain Villas is a wonderful choice. If you want a fine time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Mud Lake. Indian Point Campground is a delightful campground here, and a nice close by hotel is Spirit Mountain/Duluth Travelodge. Through the summertime, highs typically are in the 70's at Mud Lake while nighttime lows are commonly in the 50's.                  Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 10's; after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Mud Lake dip into the-10's. A golf course close to Mud Lake is Grandview Golf Club, and get your heart beating on the fine whitewater of Black River.
