Hiking is a popular thing to do around Mud Lake; Sunrise Ferry Hiking Trail is a tremendous local trail. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Mud Lake has to offer, you can camp at Pokegama Lake RV Park. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Mud Lake. Near Mud Lake you hit upon a golf course called Grand National Golf       Club, and if you've had enough of Mud Lake, Lawrence Mans Reservoir is nearby. Mud Lake is a good place to visit for more than one day, St Croix Haven Campgrounds is a good place to camp nearby, naturally you could also pop by Cedar Lake if you're here; it's not far at all. Mud Lake is a good place of typical rain; June is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is February. The warmest time of the year at Mud Lake comes with high                  temperatures in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 10's; all through the dark hours in the winter at Mud Lake temperatures sink to the-10's. This lake is so wonderful.
