The Sunrise Ferry Hiking Trail is a brilliant hiking trail next to Mud Lake; dry warm beds await you at Grand Northern Inn. But wait, there's more to do right next door to Mud Lake. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit close by Cedar Lake. Summertime highs at Mud Lake regularly tend to be in the 80's; the nighttime is fairly cooler of course, usually in the 50's.       The wintertime comes with highs in the 10's with temperatures at Mud Lake dipping down into the-10's during winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Kettle River; if you need a site to stay Days Inn is a nice choice. Mud Lake gets a typical amount of yearly rain; during June this area sees the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. Drift down the rapids of Snake River in a kayak, and a magnificent place to camp                  here at Mud Lake is Pokegama Lake RV Park.
