Don't leave Mud Lake without first going for a hike along the Nicolet Trail, and why not camp at Vagabond Village Campground if you're here at Mud Lake. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Mud Lake, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. During the winter highs are ordinarily in the 10's, and throughout the dark hours in the       wintertime at Mud Lake temperatures dip to the-10's. An average amount of rain falls at Mud Lake; throughout the month of June you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Desoto Trail, and not far from Mud Lake you'll stumble on Sweitzer Lake which is a beautiful lake. While you're here at Mud Lake you can play some golf at Bears Den Golf Course. Lakes are brilliant; Rockwell Lake                  is a lake that's close to Mud Lake. Any time is a brilliant time at Mud Lake if you adore the outdoors.
