Through the warm months at Mud Lake highs are regularly in the 80's while night lows are generally in the 50's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 10's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Mud Lake. Mud Lake is pretty dry regularly; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is February. Not far from Mud Lake, you'll hit upon       Tamarack Lake which is a pretty lake, and you can go for a hike on the East Bad Medicine Trail. Why not camp at Pine Ridge Campground if you're here at Mud Lake; if you need a site to stay Cmon Inns Park Rapids is a nice choice. No way I can stop, cause I'm havin' a glorious time here at Mud Lake. Don't leave Mud Lake without first going for a hike along the Nicolet Trail. Lakes? Sure, Carver Lake is nearby. This lake is so wonderful.
