From a rainfall point of view Mud Lake is a pretty normal place; through the month of June you get the most rain around here, and February on the other hand is the driest. All through the long summer days at Mud Lake temperatures are frequently in the 70's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's generally in the 50's.       Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 10's while the cold winter nights at Mud Lake are in the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. Pikedale Lodge is a good campground nearby; do take a hike on the North Country Trail. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting things at Mud Lake. A magnificent close by hotel is Rodeway Inn Pine River, and you can have a brilliant hiking adventure along the Lake Erin Trail. Mud Lake is not far                  at all from Brainerd, and since you're here, you could also stop by scenic Pollywog Lake.
