This lake is so wonderful. Near Mud Lake you locate the Johnson Lake Trail System which is a delightful hiking trail, and there are other spots here than Mud Lake, for example Snake Brook Impoundment. The warmest time of the year at Mud Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Through the       winter the highs are usually in the 10's, and night lows in the-10's for Mud Lake. Going for a hike on the Mud Lake Trail System is always a magnificent adventure, and not far from Mud Lake you'll stumble on Mud-Goose Lake which is a wonderful lake. Go for a hike on the Sugar Lake Trail System, and if you came to camp Plug Hat Point Campground Recreating and Picnic Area is a delightful location to do that. Be careful coming to Mud Lake, you might not ever                  wanna go back home again. Mud Lake is close to Mud-Goose Lake Dam which is a striking site undeniably worth checking out. There's so much to do here at Mud Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Be Mah Quat Resort is a fine site for that.
