There's magnificent hiking along the Mud Lake Trail System; Mud Lake is a tremendous place to visit for more than one day, Andersen's Four Seasons Resort is a tremendous place to camp nearby. Go for a hike on the Sugar Lake Trail System, and Remer Motel & Campground is a good local campground. At Mud Lake during the long summer days highs are in the 80's. Summer       overnight lows drop down to the 50's. All through the winter the highs are mostly in the 10's with temperatures at Mud Lake dipping down into the-10's during winter nights. Mud Lake gets a typical amount of yearly rainfall; through the month of June you get the most rain around here while February is generally the driest month.
