There is a brilliant hiking trail in the vicinity of Mud Lake called the Johnson Lake Trail System, and you can stay the night at Remer Motel & Campground. This is a splendid neighborhood for folks who like lakes. Birch Lake is a lake nearby. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Mud Lake has to offer, you can camp at Andersen's Four Seasons Resort. This lake is so wonderful. You're possibly into lakes, Folston       Lake is one of those nearby, and Mud Lake is a spot with many visitors from Brainerd. Just can't get enough of Mud Lake. Near Mud Lake you hit upon the Mud Lake Trail System which is a nice hiking trail, and the Sugar Lake Trail System is a nice hiking trail close by.
