Mud Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Hamilton's Fox Lake Campground is a good local campground, and Best Western Bemidji Inn is a glorious site to get some rest. Around Mud Lake you don’t get a lot of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is July; February on the other hand is the driest. For the duration of the warm days       of summer here at Mud Lake, high temperatures generally get into the 70's with nighttime lows in the 50's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 10's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Mud Lake drop into the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. Mud Lake is not the only place nearby, Lake Shemahgun is a nearby lake; if you like skiing, you're in luck; Buena Vista is rather near. If you need a site to stay Quality Inn                  Bemidji is a good choice, and a lake close by is Lake Emerald. If you adore the outdoors, you'll have a thing about Mud Lake.
