There's splendid hiking along the Gneiss Lake Portage, and Sea Gull River is in the neighborhood of Morris Lake and is always a joy to go to. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Lutsen while you're here. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Morris Lake has to offer, you can camp at Gunflint Pines; Reward Lake is a great lake nearby. The warmest time       of the year at Morris Lake comes with high temperatures in the 70's while overnight lows are typically in the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 10's, and nighttime lows at Morris Lake through the wintertime regularly descend into the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Maraboeuf Lake Portage, and you should take a look at James Bay when you're here. Yep, outdoors enjoyable things to do are beyond doubt abundant                  here at Morris Lake. A short visit to Horsetail Rapids is always worthwhile. There's so much to do here at Morris Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Sawbill Campground is a tremendous place for that. The amount of rain that falls at Morris Lake is close to the national average; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month.
