Moose Lake is a beautiful lake in the Mesabi Range. Moose Lake really is in the middle of a gorgeous outdoors paradise. From a precipitation point of view Moose Lake is a reasonably normal location; the month with most of the rain is June, and February is the month with the least moisture. Americinn - Mt Iron, Mn is a glorious place to get some rest, and you can stay the night at Mc Kinley Park Campground. There's so much       to do here at Moose Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Hoodoo Point Campground is a nice spot for that, and the Canfield Portage offers hiking at its best. You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing stuff in the Mesabi Range. If you need a place to stay Lodge At Giants Ridge is a delightful choice, and hiking along the Echo Trail is magnificent fun. This lake is so wonderful. What would winter be without some skiing at Giants                  Ridge, and Moose Lake is right by the Taconite Trail. At Moose Lake through the summer months highs are in the 70's while nighttime lows are generally in the 40's.
