At Moon Lake you don’t see much rain; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain, and January is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Schreier's On Shetek Campground is a splendid campground nearby. A wonderful lake like Lake Wilson in close proximity to Moon Lake is a splendid spot to visit,       and Valhalla Camp Grounds is a great local campground. For the duration of the months of summer at Moon Lake temperatures are frequently in the 80's. Summer night lows dip down to the 60's.
