Eagle Lake Dam is delightful and it's close to Mitchell Lake; do visit Crooked Creek since you're here at Mitchell Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Mitchell Lake, you'll locate West Wood Lake which is a delightful lake, and if you came to camp Fifty Lakes Campground is a good location to do that. From a precipitation point of view Mitchell Lake is a quite common       site; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain, and February is when it's the driest. All through the summer months at Mitchell Lake highs are usually in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 20's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Mitchell Lake.
