This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Second Lake is close at hand; if you're here you can play some golf at Fosston Golf Club. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Melland Lake, and the overnight is quite cooler of course, commonly in the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 10's, and nighttime lows through the wintertime for Melland Lake tend to be in the-10's. | |

Union Lake Campground is a nice place, but does not cater to the weekend camper. Unless you have a boat, there is nothing to do except sit around the fire and drink. The seasonal campers are friendly and welcome company for a chat. The bath house has been updated and is better, but there is a charge for showering, (...) The managers are fairly strict, (...) - and you can't blame them! Book well ahead of time if you want a weekend spot!!!!...Union Lake Sarah campground is nice and clean and quiet.It could use more weekend electrical sites. Mgr Joel is adorable, but his wife Char could use some fine tuning in the PR area. They both need to quit smoking for their own good.The seasonal campers are most friendly and helpful. We will certainly be back!!!... |
