Hiking along the Wilson Lake Trail is good fun, and Country Inn By Carlson Grand Rapids is a great spot to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Big Fork for all you thrill seekers. There's so much to do here at Mead Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Thistledew Campground is a nice spot for that. Why not take a refreshing hike along the       Valley River Trail, and you'll discover a pretty lake called Candy Lake. High temperatures at Mead Lake through the months of summer are in the 70's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 10's with temperatures at Mead Lake dipping down into the-20's all through winter nights. Mead Lake is right by the Holstrum Spur Trail; Mead Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Stony Brook                  Campground is a pleasant local campground.
