This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Americinn - Blackduck, Mn is a glorious spot to spend a night or two, and this is a popular place for people from Bemidji. High temperatures at McDonald Lake during the days of summer are in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 50's. High temperatures       through the winter are normally in the 10's, and night lows throughout the wintertime for McDonald Lake tend to be in the-10's. At Knutson Dam near McDonald Lake there are some attention-grabbing things to see, and do take a hike on the Star Island Trail System. McDonald Lake is right by the Tower Lake Hunter Walker Trails, and you can have a fine hiking adventure along the Camp Rabideau CCC Trail. At McDonald Lake you don’t see much rainfall; most of                  the rain falls all through June; February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at McDonald Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Wanaki Campground is a good location for that; getting to Kitchi Creek from McDonald Lake is easy. This is no place for people who don’t like to have fun. Lakes are such peaceful spots, why not stop by Kitchi Lake next to McDonald Lake.
