Hiking is a popular thing to do around McCormack Lake; Link Lake Trail is a fine local trail, and Little Fork River is a brilliant whitewater       spot close by. There's so much to do here at McCormack Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Pine Beach Resort RV Park is a good place for that, and if you need a place to stay Super 8 Hibbing is a good choice. High temperatures at McCormack Lake through the summer are in the 70's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 10's, and winter nights come with lows in                  the-10's to McCormack Lake. This lake is so wonderful. McCormack Lake is nice enough to spend more than a day at, C C Campground 717 is a nice local campground; a splendid spot for whitewater paddling is Sturgeon River. This lake is located in the wonderful Mesabi Range. After a long day outdoors Hibbing Park Hotel is a nice place to spend a night or two.
