The amount of rain that falls at Mays Lake is close to the national average; the wettest month of the year is frequently June, that's the one that rains the most, and February is when it's the driest. If you need a spot to stay Lowell Inn is a brilliant choice; if you like skiing, you're in luck; Wild Mountain is pretty near. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then       we recommend St. Croix River; a pleasant place to camp here at Mays Lake is Golden Acres. Why not camp at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Camp while you're here at Mays Lake, and there are some glorious whitewater spots on Apple River. And that's not all you can do here at Mays Lake. Trollhaugen is a great local ski area, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to nearby Bass Lake. During the warm days of summer at Mays Lake temperatures                  are frequently in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Mays Lake. The views at Saint Croix National Scenic River will blow your mind.
