Dry warm beds await you at Caribou Highlands Lodge, and you can go for a hike on the North Shore State Trail. This lake is so wonderful. A day on the slopes of Lutsen is just what you need, and don't leave Mark Lake without first going for a hike along the Honeymoon Trail. Whitewater paddling is pleasant on Cascade River, and Mark Lake is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Cascade River Campground is a tremendous       local campground. There's just no way somebody can get bored here at Mark Lake. If you need a spot to stay Super 8 Motel - Grand Marais is a brilliant choice. A brilliant place to camp here at Mark Lake is Devil Lake Campground, and delightful hiking is available along the Height of Land Portage. Mark Lake gets a common amount of annual rainfall; throughout the month of August you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is February.                  During the summer months highs here at Mark Lake get into the 70's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's.
