Shadow Lake is a lake close at hand, and Maraboeuf Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Gunflint Pines is a pleasant local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Granite River is a great local stream, and you can go for a hike on the Maraboeuf Lake Portage. You should absolutely take a look at Devils Elbow since you're here at Maraboeuf Lake, and there's great hiking along the Gneiss Lake Portage.       A short journey to Horsetail Rapids is always worthwhile, and camping at Sawbill Campground is always a wonderful experience. You clearly should love Maraboeuf Lake. A pleasant close by hotel is Eagle Ridge Resort at Lutsen Mountains, and splendid hiking is available along the Gneiss Trail. A typical amount of rainfall falls here at Maraboeuf Lake; through August this area sees the most rain, and the driest month is February.
