     A gorgeous lake like Child Lake near Man Lake is a nice spot to stop by; camping at Austin's Swamp is always a wonderful experience. There are plenty of people from Brainerd here at Man Lake, and there are good places to look at along the Goose Lake Trail System. Don't leave Man Lake without first going for a hike along the North Country Trail, and if you need a place to stay Rodeway Inn Pine River is a pleasant choice. This place, Man Lake, it clearly has  
   so much outdoors enjoyable stuff. Dry warm beds await you at Trappers Landing Lodge; there's great hiking along the Lake Erin Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Deer Acres is a fine place to do that, and McKeown Lake is a good lake close by. For the duration of the summer months at Man Lake highs are ordinarily in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 10's with temperatures
 
               at Man Lake dipping down into the-10's during winter nights.
The yearly rainfall here at Man Lake is about average; during the month of June you get the most rain around here, and February meanwhile is the driest month.

...rite Minnesota campgrounds and we stay here several times each summer. We love that it is right on a lake and that many of the sites have their own little beach. The campground is quiet and the sites˙ are screened from one another for privacy. I hate to even post a review out of the fear that our favorite camping secret will become everyone's camping favorite. It is close enough to Longville˙ and Remer that you can run in for ice and supplies as needed. One small hint that I will pass on is that you might want to stop in Longville or Hackensack to buy your˙ firewood as the campground does not have any for sale.Mabel Lake campground is not on a campsite reservation system but we have never had a problem finding a site here. We discovered this campground as a result of finding one of the more popular Leech Lake campgrounds full. Once we found Mabel Lake, we never bothered with the other campgrounds in the area again. Mabel Lake is rustic so those seeking hook-ups, flush toilets, and running water best move on to the more crowded campgrounds on Leech Lake and leave us to our own peacefu...
