All through the summer at Mains Lake temperatures are regularly in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 10's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Mains Lake. From a rain point of view Mains Lake is a rather typical place; the wettest month of the year is mostly June, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month of       the year is February. This lake is so wonderful. The fine people of Hutchinson like to hang out close by. Mains Lake is a great spot to camp, Howard Lake Inn is a great spot, and after a long day outdoors Howard Lake Motel is a glorious place to spend a night or two.
