Near Mackie Lake you find the Markville Snowmobile Trail which is a nice hiking trail, and Riverview Campground is a tremendous local campground. During the summertime months here at Mackie Lake, high temperatures frequently reach the 80's while night lows are mostly in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 10's, and overnight lows       in the-10's for Mackie Lake. St. Croix River is a perfect whitewater spot close to Mackie Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Bullhead Lake is in the vicinity, and some close by water includes Bangs Brook. Kenney Lake is a glorious lake near Mackie Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Lodge at Crooked Lake. An average amount of rainfall falls at Mackie Lake; June is the wettest month with most rain, and February is when it's the driest.
