Yeah, come here to Mackie Lake for a good time. There's so much to do here at Mackie Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Sioux Portage Campground is a pleasant site for that, and you can run the rapids of Lower Tamarack River. St. Croix River is a splendid whitewater spot near Mackie Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Best Western Northwoods Lodge is a good location to get some rest, and Mackie       Lake is right by the Minnesota-Wisconsin Boundary State Trail. If you get bored of Mackie Lake, you could also have a look at nearby Kenney Lake, and a great close by hotel is Lodge at Crooked Lake.
