Mackie Lake is always a pleasure to visit. Summertime highs at Mackie Lake mostly tend to be in the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 10's with temperatures at Mackie Lake dipping down into the-10's all through winter nights. From a rain point of view Mackie Lake is a quite normal site; June is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. There's

is a glorious local campground. There are some fine whitewater spots on Lower Tamarack River, and there's fine hiking along the Markville Snowmobile Trail. Camping at Riverview Campground is always a wonderful experience; dry warm beds await you at Lodge at Crooked Lake.
