Luna Lake is one of the lakes here in the Mesabi Range. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Luna Lake. Shannon River flows through this vicinity; Hibbing Park Hotel is a pleasant spot to get some rest. Be careful coming to the Mesabi Range, you might not ever want to go back home again. Dry warm beds await you at Hibbing Super 8 Motel, and if you've had enough of Luna Lake,       Shannon Lake is close by. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Link Lake Trail, and Luna Lake is nice enough to spend more than a day at, C C Campground 717 is a nice local campground. All through the warm months at Luna Lake temperatures are generally in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 10's, and night lows in the-10's for Luna Lake. Get drenched paddling                  on Sturgeon River. There's so much to do here at Luna Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Pine Beach Resort RV Park is a brilliant spot for that. The annual rain here at Luna Lake is about average; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Little Fork River; there's nice hiking along the Snake Trail. That right there is a heap of fun things already but it goes on, the Mesabi Range has it all. Luna Lake is not the only spot nearby, Shoepack Lake is a nearby lake, and the Stingy Lake Trail offers hiking at its best.
