This lake is so wonderful. Gunflint Pines is a great campground nearby, and paddling on Temperance River is so much fun. Dawkins Creek is in the neighborhood of Lucky Pay Lake and is always a delight to visit; Fool Lake is a good lake nearby. For the period of the summertime months at Lucky Pay Lake highs are generally in the 70's. All       through the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 10's, and winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Lucky Pay Lake. Just can't get enough of Lucky Pay Lake. Get wet paddling on Poplar River, and if you need a place to stay Eagle Ridge Resort at Lutsen Mountains is a perfect choice. Good hiking is available along the Pine Portage, and Lutsen is a very popular ski area in the neighborhood.                  Lucky Pay Lake gets a typical amount of rain; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while February is frequently the driest month. Lakes? Sure, Cross Bay Lake is around here, and a fine close by hotel is Caribou Highlands Lodge. This lake is so wonderful.
