A scenic lake like Louise Lake close to Loon Lake is a brilliant site to visit, and Loon Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Yogi Bear's Jellystone Camp is a great local campground. High temperatures at Loon Lake during the summertime are in the 80's. Summer overnight lows sink down to the 60's. Highs during the winter are frequently in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the 0's       for Loon Lake. Be careful coming to Loon Lake, you might not ever want to return back home again. You can run the rapids of Vermilion River next to Loon Lake, and Lowell Inn is a great site to get some rest. A round of golf at nearby Sawmill Golf Club is a pleasant way to kill some time; if time allows, Mississippi National River & Recreation Area is a national park worth taking a look at. This lake is so wonderful. Wild Mountain is a perfect local ski                  area. There's so much to do here at Loon Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Golden Acres is a splendid site for that. A great nearby hotel is Settlers Glen Lodges. Loon Lake gets a common amount of yearly rain; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain, and February on the other hand is the driest.
