From a rainfall point of view Loon Lake is a quite normal site; the month with most of the rain is June, and the driest of the months is February. There's some flowing water close by, Little Indian Sioux River is a stream you can explore while you're here. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors amusing things the area right next door to Loon Lake has to offer. While you're here at Loon Lake, you       could also pop by gorgeous Beatty Lake, and there's good hiking along the Echo Trail. This lake is so wonderful. East Loon Bay is in the neighborhood and always great to explore; don't leave Loon Lake without first going for a hike along the Beatty Portage. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Vermilion River, and Lake Jeanette Campground is a perfect campground nearby. Throughout the warm days of summer at Loon                  Lake temperatures are usually in the 70's, and the overnight is rather chillier of course, frequently in the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 10's, and overnight lows at Loon Lake during the winter generally dip into the-20's. You'll stumble on a delightful lake called Little Loon Lake near Loon Lake, and the Canfield Portage offers hiking at its best.
