If you're here at Loon Lake, do take a journey to East Loon Bay, and Vermilion River is a brilliant whitewater spot close by. The Echo Trail is a good hiking trail in close proximity to Loon Lake; a quick trip to Little Indian Sioux River is unquestionably a magnificent idea. During the warm months highs here at Loon Lake get into the 70's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Highs through the wintertime are       usually in the 10's, and winter nights come with lows in the-20's to Loon Lake. This is no place for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Loon Lake is a good place to visit for more than one day, Lake Jeanette Campground is a good place to camp nearby. There is a good hiking trail close to Loon Lake called the Canfield Portage. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Loon Lake has to offer, you can camp at Sioux River Campground. Loon Lake                  gets a common amount of rainfall; most of the rain falls during June while February is generally the driest month. This lake is so wonderful.
