     The Headboom Logging Trail is a good hiking trail near Loon Lake, and why not camp at Savanna Portage State Park since you're here at Loon Lake. If you need a location to stay Country Inn By Carlson Grand Rapids is a great choice. Lakes are such serene places, why not check out Little Savanna Lake near Loon Lake, and some great nature is available in Savanna State Forest. An average amount of rain falls at Loon Lake; during June this area sees the most rain,  
   and February is when it's the driest.
This lake is so wonderful. A pretty lake like Savanna Lake close to Loon Lake is a good site to take a look at, and if you came for an overnight stay Big Sandy Camp is a wonderful place to camp. Summertime highs at Loon Lake commonly tend to be in the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 10's, and winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Loon Lake.
