If you are in Aitkin county it's always a good idea to stop by Loon Lake. High temperatures at Loon Lake throughout the summertime months are in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Throughout the winter the highs are commonly in the 10's while Loon Lake overnight low temperatures all through the wintertime are in the-10's. Go for a hike on the Headboom Logging Trail, and why not camp at Big Sandy Camp if you're here at Loon Lake.

A fine location to camp here at Loon Lake is Savanna Portage State Park; not far from here you can enjoy the trees of Savanna State Forest. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Country Inn By Carlson Grand Rapids is a brilliant location to spend a night or two. | |
