This lake is so wonderful. If you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Sturgeon River, and Mesaba Country Club is a good golf course close by. The Mesabi Range scenery is always beautiful. You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing stuff in the Mesabi Range. Going for a hike on the Link Lake Trail is always a glorious adventure. There's so much to do here at Longyear       Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Mesaba Co-Op Park is a good place for that. This lake is so wonderful. A striking lake like Sherman Group Tailings Basin near Longyear Lake is a perfect location to stop at. Dry warm beds await you at Hibbing Park Hotel, and you can stay the night at Forest Heights RV and Mobile Park. So much fun stuff to do at Longyear Lake, so little time. If you need a place to stay Hibbing Super 8 Motel is a perfect choice,                  and the Stingy Lake Trail is a perfect hiking trail close by. A common amount of precipitation falls here at Longyear Lake; during the month of June you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is February. There's always Douglas Tailings Dike to explore near Longyear Lake, and Douglas Tailings Basin is a glorious lake nearby. If you have a thing about the outdoors you'll have a thing about it here in the Mesabi Range. Little Fork River has a wonderful whitewater paddling spot close by; nearby you discover the Snake Trail which is a good hiking trail. Through the summer at Longyear Lake highs are usually in the 70's. During the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 50's.
