The amount of rain that falls at Long Meadows Lake is close to the national average; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is February. There is a great hiking trail in close proximity to Long Meadows Lake called the Sunrise Ferry Hiking Trail, and if you came to camp Sandrock Cliff Campground is a nice place to do that. Saint Croix National Scenic River is a       magnificent national park, and if you need a location to stay Travelodge Hinckley is a good choice. If you want a good time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Long Meadows Lake. Long Meadows Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Pokegama Lake RV Park is a good local campground, and whitewater paddling is good on Kettle River. This lake is so wonderful. If you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Snake River,                  and dry warm beds await you at Hinckley-Days Inn. Going for a hike on the Minnesota-Wisconsin Boundary State Trail is always a glorious adventure, and the skiing at Wild Mountain is great. High temperatures at Long Meadows Lake during the months of summer are in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's.
