That right there is a lot already, but it continues; Long Lake has it all. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Afton Alps if you're here, and camping at St Paul East KOA is always a nice experience. For the period of the warm months at Long Lake highs are commonly in the 80's. For the duration of       the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 10's, and overnight lows through the winter for Long Lake tend to be in the-10's. Long Lake gets a normal amount of annual rain; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain; February on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Apple River is so much fun, and going to Mississippi National River & Recreation Area                  is just something you need to do if you haven't yet. A pretty lake like North School Section Lake in the neighborhood of Long Lake is a pleasant spot to stop at, and after a long day outdoors Best Western White Bear Country Inn is a great place to spend a night or two.
