golf at Applewood Hills Public Golf Course not far from Long Lake; Afton Alps has brilliant slopes and a friendly staff.
Throughout the long summer days, highs typically are in the 80's at Long Lake. When the night sets in temperatures
drop down into the 60's. Throughout the wintertime highs are regularly in the 20's with temperatures at Long Lake dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. A tremendous place for whitewater paddling
right next door to Long Lake is Vermilion River, and Browns Beach is quite nearby if you're in a beach type of mood.
