You're probably keen on lakes, Stanley Lake is one of those close by, and Wedgewood is a great campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Chase on the Lake Resort is a great place to spend a night or two; golf can be played at Tianna Country Club. Go for a hike on the Shingobee Trails. Lakes are perfect; Little Bass Lake is a lake that's next to Long Lake. Kaylor Fishpond Dam is a gorgeous       place near Long Lake. Around Long Lake you don’t get a lot of rain; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain while February is typically the driest month. Acorn Hill Resort and RV Sites is a nice local campground, and going for a hike on the County Road 50 Trail System is always a wonderful adventure. For the period of the warm days of summer at Long Lake highs are usually in the 70's; the nighttime is fairly cooler of course, generally                  in the 50's. Through the winter highs are ordinarily in the 10's; through the dark hours in the wintertime at Long Lake temperatures fall to the-10's. What a place this is for outdoors folks.
