Horseshoe Lake is a delightful lake close to Long Lake; a good close by hotel is Best Western Chaska River Inn & Suites. Really splendid skiing awaits you at Hyland Ski, and a magnificent swamp near Long Lake is Johnson Slough. An average amount of rain falls at Long Lake; the wettest month of the year is frequently       June, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is January. Buck Hill has brilliant slopes and a friendly staff. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Long Lake. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 60's. Highs through the wintertime are mostly in the 20's, and overnight lows all through the wintertime for Long Lake tend to be in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful.
