East Dawkins Lake is around here, and Eagle Ridge Resort at Lutsen Mountains is a great place to get some rest. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Lonely Lake has to offer, you can camp at Crescent Lake Campground, and whitewater paddling is glorious on Poplar River. Lonely Lake is not the only place nearby, Trip Lake is a nearby lake, and you can stay the night at Gunflint Pines. Lonely Lake is a good       place of normal precipitation; August is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. All through the summertime months at Lonely Lake highs are commonly in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Highs through the winter are regularly in the 10's; through the dark hours in the winter at Lonely Lake temperatures drop to the-10's. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining stuff                  at Lonely Lake. Lonely Lake is right by the Pine Portage, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Lutsen is quite near. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Granite River Portage, and dry warm beds await you at Caribou Highlands Lodge. This lake is so wonderful.
