Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this spot. Get wet paddling on Vermilion River, and camping is available at Mc Kinley Park Campground. This lake is so wonderful. A good nearby hotel is Lodge At Giants Ridge, and not far from Little Trout Lake you'll stumble on Gowan Lake which is a striking lake. The warmest time of the year at Little Trout Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. Summer overnight lows       sink down to the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 10's; nighttime lows at Little Trout Lake during the wintertime usually fall into the-20's. Lakes are good; North Arm Trout Lake is a lake that's close to Little Trout Lake, and camping at Lake Jeanette Campground is always a great experience. There is a magnificent hiking trail near Little Trout Lake called the Canfield Portage. Going for a hike on the Echo Trail is always a great adventure; swing                  by Pine Creek it's a great spot to take a look at. The amount of precipitation that falls at Little Trout Lake is close to the national average; most of the rain falls throughout June, and February on the other hand is the driest.
