Little Sandy Lake is a splendid spot to visit for more than one day, Midway Motel is a splendid spot to camp nearby, and get your heart beating on the magnificent whitewater of Vermilion River. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Little Sandy Lake. During the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 10's; through the dark hours in the winter at       Little Sandy Lake temperatures dip to the-10's. It is very waterless here at Little Sandy Lake commonly; June is when you get the most rain here, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. Americinn - Mt Iron, Mn is a fine spot to get some rest; Admiral Lake is a fine lake close by. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Little Fork River; you                  can go for a hike on the Taconite Trail. These mountains rock, just explore all the cool things to do in the Mesabi Range. If you want a magnificent time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Mesabi Range. Stay the night at Eveleth Veteran's Park, and the skiing at Giants Ridge is magnificent.
