A great nearby hotel is Caribou Highlands Lodge, and there are other locations here than Little Rush Lake, for example Echo Lake. The amount of precipitation that falls at Little Rush Lake is close to the national average; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. During the long summer days, highs regularly are in the 70's at Little       Rush Lake, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 10's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Little Rush Lake temperatures plunge to the-10's. If you come at the right time of year, Cascade River offers some delightful whitewater, and going for a hike along the South Lake Portage will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. Super 8 Motel - Grand Marais is a good                  spot to get some rest, and you can have a pleasant hiking adventure along the Height of Land Portage. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Cascade River Campground; if you're here you can take a hike along the Stairway Portage. Gateway-hungry Jack Lodge is a fine campground nearby. Whohoo, so much exciting stuff in one place! Little Rush Lake is excellent!
