Be careful coming to the Mesabi Range, you might not ever want to go home again. Yeah, come up here to the Mesabi Range for a magnificent time. If you come at the right time of year, Vermilion River offers some glorious whitewater; you can stay the night at Pfeifer Lake Campground. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Vermilion River, and magnificent hiking is available along the Canfield       Portage. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Americinn - Mt Iron, Mn. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Little Rice Lake has to offer, you can camp at Fortune Bay Resort - Casino - RV Park. If you need a location to stay Lodge At Giants Ridge is a fine choice; don't leave Little Rice Lake without first going for a hike along the Taconite Trail. If you want a good time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Little Rice                  Lake. Very delightful scenery and good skiing is what you get at Giants Ridge, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Duluth here. This lake is located in the wonderful Mesabi Range. High temperatures at Little Rice Lake through the warm months are in the 70's while nighttime lows are regularly in the 50's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 10's; night lows through the winter for Little Rice Lake tend to be in the-10's.
