You could also check out Pioneer Lake since you're here at Little Lake; it's nearby, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Apple River. This lake is so wonderful. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Wild Mountain, and Little Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Whispering Bay Resort                  is a pleasant local campground. This spot is peerless, just check out all the fun stuff to do right next door to Little Lake. Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites St. Croix Valley, Wi is a great place to get some rest; the snow is brilliant at Trollhaugen. This lake is so wonderful. A great location to camp here at Little Lake is Blue waters Leisure Park. All through the warmest time of the year, highs mostly are in the 80's at Little Lake, and the nighttime is rather colder of course, usually in the 60's. Highs during the winter are generally in the 20's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Little Lake plunge into the 0's.
